Noah Browne joins National Junior Athlete Sponsorship Program

Home School retain Allegro Insurance & Risk Management Ltd Inter Schools title

Home School Team retained their Allegro Insurance & Risk Management Inter Schools title beating Elliott Primary in the final for the 2nd time running. 72 children from 6 schools competed for nearly 3 hours at yesterdays championships. 4 semi finalists eventually emerged from the group stages of the competition, they were; Home School, Elliott, Somersfield and the vastly improved Harrington Sound Primary in the first ever semi final. Home School and Elliott proved to be too strong against their opponents and easily moved through to the finals to face each other again.

In the final 5 of the 6 ties went to Home School showing the strength in depth with in the team. The winning team members were Riley Voth(Captain), Abraham Saul, Kion Knights, Beckett Simmons, Kyler Knights and Laird Simmons.

The BSRA would like to thank Allegro Insurance & Risk Management Ltd. for their continued support of Junior Squash in Bermuda, the masses of spectators at yesterdays event and all of the BSRA Junior volunteers who gave their time to make the event a massive success. Potential BSRA Building Upgrade Plans Released

The BSRA has released a range of plans for future upgrades and improvements to the existing buildings. Details of these plans can be found on the large notice board on the stairway opposite the bar. These details include information on five options for rejuvinating the club. They include options on a new gym and building new squash courts. They also detail costs, layouts and information on how we plan on phasing the work done.

Please feel free to take a look next time you are down at the club and add any comments you have to the box next to the display.

10th BIAS Educational Tournament

This years BIAS Educational Tournament entry forms are now available. The format of this years event will be slightly different from previous years with the event condensed into one weekend and featuring a BBQ for all competitors and families after the presentations. BSRA Junior Grand Prix #2

The next round of the BSRA Junior Grand Prix is coming up kids…. Saturday 24th March. The green, blue and red level players are playing from 12-2pm and the bronze, silver and gold players are on from 3-5pm. Make sure you add your name to the sign up sheet at the club.

Allegro Insurance & Risk Management InterSchools Tournament coming up…

If you are down at the club this Thursday 22nd March you may notice about 70 screaming kids cheering their school mates on in the Allegro Insurance & Risk Managment Inter Schools Championships. Entries are still coming in for what should be another great event at the BSRA. Local school Elliott Primary will be looking to go one place better than last year and take the title back from current holders, Home School. The tournament will run from 4.00pm - 7.00pm.

Robbie Maycock finishes 4th at Austrian Junior Open

Bermuda’s National and Caribbean champion Robbie Maycock finished a credible 4th place in the recent Austrian Junior Open at the club Danube Erdberg in Vien Strattfanden.

Robbie took out the number 5-8 and 4 seeds on his way to a semi final clash with top seed and eventual winner Henrik Mustonen. He then lost out in a titanic battle for 3rd place with Sammy Van Brusselen. Congratulations to Robbie on a fantastic performance.
