Squash fanatics Kevin Moynihan and David Kielty have headed back to Ireland after years at the BSRA via a few party destinations on the way….

Kevin, a member since Aug 2002 has been a lively member of the club competing regularly in the leagues and competitions and always supporting the ’social’ events. It has been said that at times that Kevin kept the bar open on his own!

Kielty is infamous in Bermuda for not only his squash talents but for a few crazy dance moves which have been seen occasionally.

The BSRA wishes Kevin and David all the best for the future. Your both welcome back any time.

Photos of their last game of squash are in the gallery section.

Hurricane Dean 1
The Senior CASA Mens team finally returned to Bermuda late on Wednesday evening after being trapped in Jamaica by Hurricane Dean.

The distastrous trip which featured delayed flights, aircraft breakdowns and player injuries seemed to be coming together when the team finished top of their group beating top seeds Jamaica on the way. However, the bad luck returned when Hurricane Dean, at category 4 storm veered towards Jamaica cancelling the tournament and forcing all teams to try and get out of Jamaica as fast as possible. Bermuda and Guyana were the unlucky ones who were unable to get flights out despite camping out at the airport for 2 days. The team returning to the club and prepared for the storm and more importantly, the aftermath which included no power, no a/c, no showers, no $, lots of mosquitos and terribly… a lack of redstripe!

Anyway, the team are all back safe (maybe a little smelly) and sound and would like to thank all those who attempted to help them out while we were stuck.

The pictures are all available in the gallery section of this website.
